Mental Illness Awareness Week Event
October 4-10, 2020 is Mental Illness Awareness Month. 2020 has shown us how important raising awareness and decreasing stigma truly is as many struggle during the pandemic. To work towards these goals Mental Health Resources, Inc. has partnered with many others in the communities we serve to hold a virtual 5K/10K.
How does our virtual Walk Work?
Once you have signed up you have from October 4th until October 10th to complete your steps.
You can go out and run the distance you sign up for all at once, you can track your steps at work, or you can hop on the treadmill and track your distance that way. Once you have completed the distance you will submit over proof of the distance.
How do I submit my distance?
Once you register for the event you will be sent a link to upload your results once completed. You can track your distance with a step counter, a run tracker app, or a photo of the treadmill showing the distance walked or ran. Make sure to submit over a picture via the link we will send you.
All participants will receive a medal and t-shirt for completing the 5K, those who complete the 10K will get a medal and t-shirt and also a few extra swag items for going that extra mile (well, extra 5 kilometers). We will use the email you provide in the registration form to send you a notification where to pick up your items or when they are mailed out.
Registration and Fee
Fee per participant is $15.00. Please register and pay for each participant individually. You will be contacted by firstname.lastname@example.org after registering regarding shirt size and instructions on how you will receive your items. Items will be available for pickup or shipment shortly after the event.
