Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is the use of FDA-approved medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a "whole-patient" approach to the treatment of substance use disorders. There are FDA-approved medications to treat alcohol use disorder, smoking, and opioid use disorder. To participate in MAT, you must be 16 years old or older with a history of substance use disorder. Services are offered video televideo from 9am to 3pm, Monday through Friday. To participate in MAT, you can be referred internally from an MHR therapist, or an external stakeholder such as Children, Youth and Family Department (CYFD), Juvenile Probation Officers (JPO), Adult Probation Officers (APO), and local detention centers. You may also self-refer.
