Peer Support Services

All MHR Peer Support Services can be provided in the office, at a location of your choice (home, park, library), or through telephone or video.

Peer Support Services

  • Our Certified Peer Support Workers (CPSWs) use their lived experiences to bring hope and support to others. They assist with navigating various areas, including family, school, medical, disability services, and basic needs such as food and housing.
  • Services are available to clients ages 16 and older.

Family Peer Support Services

  • Our Certified Family Peer Support Workers (CFPSWs) support parents and primary caregivers by ensuring their voices are heard in their children’s care plans. They help families build knowledge, skills, and confidence to manage their needs and move toward independence.
  • CFPSWs serve as role models, providing guidance on communication and relationships within the family and support systems.

Youth Peer Support Services

  • Certified Youth Peer Support Workers (CYPSWs) provide encouragement, guidance, and advocacy for young people experiencing emotional, behavioral, or life challenges.
  • Youth Peer Support Services are great for young people who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, or emotional problems. This could be difficulty at school, behavioral or social challenges, or a need for positive role models and support. Additionally, these services can help build self-confidence and emotional regulation, encourage positive decision-making, and strengthen communication and social skills.
