MHR offers telehealth services for a wide range of therapeutic needs. Services are provided by mental health professionals licensed in the State of New Mexico, including providers located outside the state but still New Mexico-licensed. Telehealth sessions are delivered via VSee, a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform that ensures confidentiality and privacy.
Telehealth services may be conducted at an MHR location if preferred by the client or when clinically appropriate.
Older devices may struggle to run the program properly.
Connecting directly to your router using an Ethernet cable for wired internet is recommended though wireless networks can work fine as well.
Standard browsers such as Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge or Safari on a Mac may encounter compatibility issues with the video software as those browsers are not as up to date with modern code.
Most modern laptops have built in webcams which will work great for online therapy! If you have a desktop PC or Mac you may need to purchase and set up an external webcam.
The online portal is easy to navigate and does not require any training to use. However, those who find computers to be confusing or frustrating in general may not be a good fit for online therapy
Individual counseling may include mental health issues, substance use/dependence issues, or individuals who have co-occurring disorders. Counseling is provided on an out-patient basis. Any individual above the age of 14 may request counseling services and have the full benefit of confidentiality.
Family counseling is offered for mental health issues, substance use/dependence issues, and co-occurring issues. Family counseling focuses on the family itself and how issues impact the family and members of the family. Services are offered on an outpatient basis.
